Hug Lamp
With the help of CAD, the Hug lamp will be made out of aluminium or steel sheets manufactured using CNC plasma and metal bending technologies. The lamp is designed to minimise its material usage, an effective way of reducing the environmental impact of the product. With the lamp's "hugging" appearance, coupled with its sharp edges, gives it contrasting aesthetics that is minimal yet elegant. The lamp holds a sphere that is cloudy, has a matte finish and is slightly translucent, enough for the light to shine through. The light used will be an LED light which uses less energy and provides the light needed for tasks, or as a form of ambient lighting.
